A characterful set of Aalto stools with notable provenance, originating from the penthouse flat of architect F.R.S. Yorke, author of The Modern House (1936), above the offices of Yorke Rosenberg Mardall in Greystoke Place.
Yorke was an influential figure in British modernism, helping to introduce and shape modernist thinking in the UK. The stools were acquired in 1975 by an architect who worked within the practice for 25 years.
Two stools remain available, as shown in image 2. Price is for one stool.
