tila is a collection of selected pieces of modernist design, by brothers Arne and Ellis.
The name comes from the Finnish word “tila”, meaning space or room, and reflects an interest in Nordic interiors and functional approaches to space.
With parents who met as market traders, we have always been drawn to the search itself - from discovery to research.
Our focus is on functionalist furniture - well-made pieces defined by use, material clarity, and a reduced form. Often lightweight and adaptable, they suit movement and everyday space.

The archive brings together furniture, lighting, and objects that have passed through the collection.
Pieces are chosen for their material, form, and the way they have aged over time. We work with them as they are found - where marks and wear are often retained as part of their character.
Delivery
Tila partners with selected couriers for national delivery. Please contact us, and we will calculate the most competitive shipping rate.
International shipping can be arranged on selected pieces.
Returns
Returns are accepted less transport costs. Please notify us within 5 days of delivery. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Items must be returned in the same condition as received.

tila works on sourcing and supplying furniture for private collections, as well as residential and commercial interior projects.
The majority of our stock is available for hire. The collection is often used in a range of creative projects. Rates and availability are provided on request.
The showroom, located within Stow Studio, is also available as a location for shoots and events.
